Katherine Jean Bolduan professionally known as Kate Bolduan is an American journalist for the broadcast industry. Most well-known for her anchoring of the CNN morning show At This Hour, Bolduan is an American broadcast journalist. Bolduan was also the co-anchor of CNN's morning programs New Day on weekdays and The Situation Room. Bolduan was a key element of the coverage by CNN for both the 2016 and 2012 presidential elections. Bolduan has worked as a Washington DC-based congressional correspondent who covered the activities of both the US House of Representatives and Senate. Bolduan was a part of the Capitol Hill Unit and reported about congressional meetings and legislative proposals such as the debates of raising the limit of federal loans and the debates of the supercommittee. As a general assignment reporter she reported on stories including that of the Christmas Day bombing in 2009, an appeal of the Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare in addition to the implementation of government stimulus plans for 2009. She joined CNN in 2007 as a national reporter in CNN New source. She was a source of feature stories along with breaking news and more to nearly 800 CNN New Source affiliates as reporters for national news. The stations she worked for were NBC News, MSNBC and WTVD-TV. She currently resides in New York City along with her two children and husband.

The memoir Life Is Not a Fairy Tale was a huge success and became a best-seller. She has become a star in her own rights and has a happy marriage to her partner.
